And our fairy tale ended at the East Point in Darwin. It's a peaceful spot to watch the sun set over the Arafura Sea. We had champagne and nice talks. What does someone want more?

The Buley Rockhole is a series of beautiful, refreshing rock pools in Litchfield Park. We had a lot of fun there. It got so hot that really no one wanted to leave. But every fairy tale has its end.

Alright, back to the Florence Falls. Just in the middle of the two waterfals you can climb up the rocks and jump into the water. Just great!

Before the Florence Falls we were at the Wangi Falls. He you see a panoramic pic. I just have to get rid of the advertisement and get the full version of this prog. This was a really cool place. And yes Jan, I did everywhere some back somersaults :).

Now, there is the best part. Swimming! Yes, I love it. Those are the Florence Falls in Litchfield. Nestled in a shallow valley and surrounded by lush vegetation. Beautiful!

Next stop on the way back. We still have the 3rd of October were those termite towers. You've seen further down another kind because those were surrounded by trees. These ones here are in the flood planes and can't have an underground system as the others have to suck in cool air from the underground through the chimney like tower. They are small and directed with the thinnest side to the sun at the hottest times.

Afterwards in the bus a tiger mosquito fed itsself on us :). You can see even the blood.I guess, that's nature or "ausgleichende Gerechtigkeit" ;).

The guide fed even sea eagles. They were beautiful! This is the best shot. I got it just at the moment the bird catches the meat piece. Cool!

This one jumped even out of my pic!

We went for a boat cruise on the South Alligator River - I think it was called like this. The crocs there are being fed with "meat snacks" to show the tourist "jumping" crocs. I felt a bit strange that those crocs are therefore more attracted to tourist than the other way around. But it was fun ;)! Look for yourself.

3|10| Alright, that's our second tour they offered us after cancelling the 3-day-Kakadu-tour. It was cool to have one day in Litchfield National Park even if we had to drive all the way back to Darwin and spend at least a free night in the Wilderness Lodge which is the hostel of the company. Now we are on our way to Litchfield with another tour and company :). At the first stop we could hold a tame croc. Cute, isn't it :)!? Yeah, I love you, too, baby :).

2|10| And this was our group. Perhaps you recognize this Korean family on the right. I tell you the spoiled this kid. It couldn't even climb over rocks. Our guide was pretty relaxed about this - a real easy-going aussi :).

One of the surprises if you go to a toilet in the national parks. Frogs are coming out of the toilet ;).

Here we go. Besides, most of the times I were such a net against flies. They are everywhere. But I was told that's nothing in comparison to the Red Centre.

2|10| Twinfalls were even better. The place was bigger as was the beach. We spend some time there and sucked in the atmosphere. It was amazing. The waterfall should be on the left side. You can't see it. Well, I post another pic ;).

2|10| We got up at 4.30am! Yeah, that's right. Unbelievable early in the morning we had to get up to beat the crowds. But would had therefore a wonderful hike to JimJim-Falls without being grilled by the sun or annoyed by tourist like us ;). Unfortunately, you can see the waterfall only in the wet season or at the end. But then you can't take the 4WD track to this location :(. Nevertheless, I had a nice swim there without crocs ;).

1|10| - 2|10| Fortunately, we spent the night at a permanent campground. The pool was huge. You can't see it there. Perhaps I should have taken some more pics but...well :). This was also one highlight, definitely ;).

Just to prove it ;).

1|10| After the short retrospect how our day started and what's happened, you can relax now with me at a beautiful sunset in Kakadu National Park. Quite nice, I reckon :). Besides, don't go for a swin there. We saw a five meter croc there :).

1|10| It's around seven in the morning. Yes, Brendan picked us up from the airport. I got to know to him approx. 4 years ago in Sofia and we took a train to Istanbul. Was pretty cool and he helped me out with some millions of the Turkish currency :). It was worth around ten bucks and I gave them back symbollically ;). But you won't believe it. I couldn't do it personally. He felt a bit sick on this day on before. Two days later his appendix was removed. Not bad after Katha broke her angle and filia after arriving in Melbourne one week later. I haven't told you this story yet. She had to get surgery. They put in some screws and a plate for her fibula. She has still the plate but the screws were removed like two weeks before we departed. Alright, so here we are. Brandan and Brendan's girl-friend Rachel who drove us back to the airport three days later, Katha and me ;).

That's definitely the best shot. The boat cruise was already worth it for this. I wanted to take this picture while the sea eagle was sitting up there and suddenly as I pushed the shutter it lifted off its branch. Perhaps I should send this picture to National Geographic ;).

... they stay upright for a while till the snake makes its way into its intestines :). That's funny to look at :).

1|10| After some hours of driving we had a wonderful boat cruise through some flood lands. As you can see the birds love snakes :). But imagine what they do to swallow it ...

1|10| Alright. We are now in Darwin and directly on a 2 day compensation trip. What you see is a termite tower. Yes! Of course, that's one of the biggest :).

At the end, this view paid back for all the hassles. We had a cat ferry trip on the river around the botanic gardens and saw the Brisbane Harbour Bridge with a rainbow in the background. Wonderful! :)

The Queensland Art Gallery in the basement

30|9| Left of this panorama there is the Queensland Art Gallery. Was nice to be in a quite area at that moment after the tour cancellation and rearrangements for new tours. :)

30|9| Amazing was the artifical lagoon. You can swim there, sunbake at the beach and look to the skyline. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best.

30|9| That's Brisbane. We haven't seen it much because it was more a day trip to spend some time there before our fligth to Darwin was going to leave. What happened was that after a company cancelled my scuba diving trip at Surfers the company for our 3 day trip in Kakadu national park cancelled the trip, too :(. You can imagine it didn't really made us feel relaxed for those hours in Brisbane. But we managed to do the best out of it :).

30|9| Just to round up the picture of Surfers Paradise. That's another night ;). Besides, I was not once in the water ;).

At night, we had to go out again for sure :). In the middle that's Marco - another German mate. I tell you Germans are everywhere. Especially in Darwin we met a lot of them. And if you go there into a shop don't expect they can't speak German ;). Probably they do ;).

That's the poster for the compaign or casting they're advertising.

29|9| The other day I just wanted to relax at the beach. It was an exchausting night. Thanks Katha :P ;). My other cousin dragged us to a shopping centre although I only wanted to play beachvolleyball. I found this field only just yesterday and therefore this was all what was in my mind. At the end, we got pleased with Nikki Hilton and Kimberly Stewart - the daughter of Rod Stewart. Kimberly had definitely the nicer smile and was cuter :). But somehow I couldn't stop to think about beachvolleyball and would have loved to change Nikki and Kim for it.

29|9| The other day I just wanted to relax at the beach. It was an exchausting night. Thanks Katha :P ;). My other cousin dragged us to a shopo

...and here you see them almost all :)...

...ok, here is another one :)

29|9| Those hostels do a lot of club crawls. Ours was the Cheers Backpackers. This night there was in Shooters a Miss competition :). That's only one shot :). If anyone wants to see the videos :) just ask...LOL.

28|9| Yes, those are the backpackers there :). I think I saw this girl later in the night pashing around with a gale on the pavement under this hotel you see one pic earlier ;).

27|9| to 28|9| Just an impression of the hotels there in Surfers.

At the evening we had dinner at my relatives house. Here you see Surfers skyline from their balcony. A bit later there was a tropical shower and I caught some lightenings on video. Ask me and I post those ;), too.

27|9| After having once a bit more sleep :) we met my cousin and he drove us up to a view point in the mountains. Besides, Katha's backpack was stolen out of the car there.

...here we go...

26|9| We arrived in Surfers and were wrecked. 16 hours in the bus was too much. I tried to sleep at the beach while the sun came out a bit. Surfers Paradise is really touristic. There are so many huge hotels you won't believe it. Well, we made the best out of it. PARTY :)!

... and had fun ;)

You see I enjoyed it ;)

After the opera we went for a bootle of red wine to the opera bar while we were looking up to the skyline of Sydney. The bar is just at the end of the esplanade in the middle of the picture. It was really relaxing and we had fun ;).

24|9| That's the view to the Sydney Harbour Bridge from the opera. Pretty impressive, isn't it? Besides, I was also with my friend Katha in the opera ;). They showed Faust in French with an English translation above the orchestra.

24|9|05 Well, I'm in Sydney now. Not really under water for the whole time. I took with a friend the Sydney Explorer round trip by bus. Pretty relaxing to be driven through the city and being dropped off at the sights. One of them was the aquarium. I never saw sharks and mantarays so near by. Moreover, the videos I took are even better. So if you want tos see how they move drop me a comment and I'll post a link.

24|9|05 Midsemester break started! Of course, I I had to plan some trips. It started in Sydney after an 11 hours train ride over night. Later I took a bus ride to Surfers. 16 hours are veeery long ;). Stayed there 4 days, visited relatives and drop by in Brisbane for some hours only in order to take the plane to Darwin at the evening. More to Darwin see above ;).
